Hello! Thank you so much for your interest in BEYOND HER. Our mission is to bring active wellness to women of color in collaborative and transformative ways that elevate mind, body and spirit. If you have a story idea that supports that mission, we would love to hear from you!

We are building a community, a tribe, a village where women of color can raise our consciousness and become more thoughtfully aware of what we are feeding our minds, bodies, and souls. Let’s spark dialogue in circles and communities around the globe about self-care and how we train others to treat us by how well we are willing to treat ourselves. Caring for our own well-being is the pivotal fork in the road that all women come to. The road to complete wellness is a process.

To go beyond we must go through the process. To that end, we are looking for submissions that are about the process, authentic, vibrant accounts of what it is to go through the process of becoming whole, healthy, and at peace with ourselves and our world.

What makes a contribution right for Beyond Her?
We’re only interested in nonfiction submissions about the topics listed above. Personal accounts, stories, recipes, recommendations, tips, and tricks are all welcome so long as they are grounded in scientific research, personal experience, or some combination of the two. Overall, we value strong voices, and we want to hear yours. Please take a moment to read through the articles on our site to get a feel for the kind of content we’re publishing.

How do I submit?
Send your ideas to submissions@beyondher.co and we will be in touch. In addition to your article, please provide a 2-3 sentence bio along with social media handle, web address, and a headshot (500×500). All articles must hit the word count as outlined above. Submitting does not guarantee publication, and all articles published are subject to our editorial timelines. We look forward to hearing from you. The God in me honors the God in you.
